IV Moderate Sedation · Any Treatment · No Judgment

Help for dental anxiety.
You’re not difficult. You’re human.

Dental anxiety keeps millions of people out of the chair for years. If that’s you, start here. We treat anything from a cleaning to a full rebuild under IV moderate sedation, so you’re deeply relaxed while we handle it. Most patients remember little or nothing.

Why fear keeps you away.

It’s not about willpower.

A painful procedure years ago. A dentist who didn’t listen. A childhood memory that never faded. The fear is real, and it compounds every year you stay away.

Then the problem grows, the shame grows with it, and the chair feels even further off. That cycle is the thing we built this practice to break. You haven’t been in years. We don’t count and we don’t ask why.

How sedation solves dental anxiety.

Deeply relaxed, still responsive.

We give the sedation through a small IV. Within a few minutes you’re in a deep twilight state, calm and comfortable. You can still respond to us, but you won’t mind what’s happening.

Local anesthesia handles the pain. The sedation handles the anxiety. The two work together.

This is IV moderate sedation, also called conscious sedation. It’s a real medical procedure, and we treat it that way. You breathe on your own the whole time.

Is it safe.

You’re monitored every minute.

We track your oxygen, heart rate, and blood pressure continuously, from the first dose until you’re ready to go home. We screen your health history before we ever schedule you. Dr. Rus holds a Connecticut moderate sedation permit ‹#FLAG›.

What you’ll remember.

Little or nothing.

Most patients remember little or nothing of the procedure. The hours in the chair tend not to register. You settle in, and before long it’s over.

The sedation wears off over a few hours. You’ll feel groggy for the rest of the day, so you’ll need someone to drive you home and stay with you.

This is for you if.

You haven't been to the dentist in years.

Five years. Ten years. Twenty. We don't count and we don't ask why. You're here now. That's what matters.

You've had a bad experience.

A painful procedure. A dentist who didn't listen. A memory that never went away. That's exactly why we do this differently.

You gag, you can't get numb, or you can't sit still.

A strong gag reflex. A hard time getting numb. No tolerance for sitting in the chair for long. Sedation solves all of it.

You're embarrassed about your teeth.

You've been hiding your smile, eating on one side, avoiding photos. No one here is going to lecture you or make you feel worse than you already do. We fix teeth. That's it.

Come in for one thing or everything. Either way, you’ll be comfortable.

Fear doesn’t make you difficult. It makes you human. Whether it’s a single cleaning you’ve been dreading or a full rebuild you’ve put off for years, IV moderate sedation keeps you deeply relaxed while we handle it. Local anesthesia handles the pain. The sedation handles the anxiety.

One doctor, start to finish.

Questions people ask.

Is IV sedation safe for anxious patients?
Yes. It's a real medical procedure, and we treat it that way. We screen your health history first, monitor your oxygen, heart rate, and blood pressure the entire time, and you breathe on your own throughout.
Will I feel anything?
Local anesthesia numbs the area completely, and the sedation keeps you deeply relaxed on top of that. Most patients remember little or nothing. The time in the chair tends not to register.
What if I haven't been to the dentist in years?
Most of our patients haven't. We don't count the years and we don't ask why. There's no lecture here. You're in now, and that's what matters.
Do I have to commit to a big treatment plan?
No. Come in for one thing or everything. If you only want a cleaning or a single tooth handled, that's a complete visit. If you want to fix more, we'll lay out options with no pressure either way.
What does it cost, and do you take my insurance?
We're out of network with all carriers. You pay upfront and submit to your insurer for direct reimbursement. You'll get an exact price at your office visit, not a range. No surprises.
